General Questions
Why start a packaging business?
The main reasons for choosing this business are two key factors:
  1. The low cost of setting up a packaging workshop or even a packaging factory compared to other industries.
  2. The increasing and continuous demand in the market for packaged goods.
The process of starting a legume and grain packaging business is divided into two main stages:
  1. Obtaining the necessary permits
  2. Equipping the facility with the required machinery and infrastructure.

To achieve good profitability in the legume packaging industry, it’s important to have a comprehensive understanding of the target market and region.
With proper marketing and strategic planning, the initial investment can be recovered within a few months, after which the business begins to generate profit.

All installation, setup, and operational training for the machines are carried out on-site at the buyer’s location by Kavosh Sanat’s technical experts.

The packaging workspace should have a minimum area of 60 square meters and a ceiling height of 4 meters.

In general, packaging machines operate on three-phase power.
However, it is also possible to manufacture machines that work with single-phase electricity if required.

It’s impossible to estimate packaging income without knowing the exact costs of production.
The first thing to learn when entering the manufacturing business is to analyze even the smallest production costs, so that you can accurately estimate net profit.

  1. Nitrogen gas system – Suitable for products like chips and snacks to extend shelf life.
  2. Pouch forming system – To create stand-up pouch style packages.
  3. Jet printer or date coder – Used for printing dates, prices, and other information on packaging films.
  4. Dust remover – Used for products like sugar cubes.
Technical Questions
What machines are included in a complete legume cleaning and packaging line?
A complete legume cleaning and packaging line includes the following machines:
  • Bowl elevator
  • Grain cleaner machine
  • Handpicking conveyor
  • Polisher
  • Z-type elevator
  • Packaging machine
  • Package conveying belt

To start a legume packaging business, the cleaning machines can initially be excluded (cleaning machines include the bowl elevator, grain cleaner, handpicking conveyor, and polisher). You can purchase pre-cleaned legumes available on the market and focus only on packaging.

If you want the packaging process to be fully automatic, you’ll need a Z-type elevator, a weighing packaging machine, and a package conveyor.
Otherwise, for semi-automatic packaging, a Z-type elevator and a semi-automatic filling (weighing) machine will suffice.

Automatic and semi-automatic packaging machines differ in several aspects:
  1. Operator Requirement:
A semi-automatic packaging machine requires two operators, while the automatic machine operates without an operator.
  2. Packaging Speed:
The automatic machine has a higher packaging speed.
  3. Type of Packaging Film:
The automatic packaging machine uses roll-type cellophane film, whereas the semi-automatic one uses pre-made pouches.
  4. Cost:
Semi-automatic packaging machines are more affordable than automatic ones.

For packaging such as cans, large bags, and cartons—where printing occurs after packaging—a jet printer is used.
For packaging where printing occurs during the packaging process, thermal date coders, mechanical date printers, or jet printers can be used.
The choice depends on font type, content, ease of typing, and text layout.

Weighing machines use a scale system with a vibrating tray and load cell for weighing products. They are suitable for granular products such as sugar, rice, pulses, nuts, candies, pasta, polymers, etc.
Powder packaging machines, on the other hand, use a screw auger system that measures the weight by adjusting the auger’s rotation according to the target weight.

No. Due to the difference in material properties, both cannot be packed using the same machine.
Granular products require weighing machines, while powdered products use auger (screw-type) packaging machines.

The difference lies in packaging speed.
The higher the number of weighing heads, the more simultaneous measurements are taken—resulting in faster final weighing and higher production speed.

  1. Air compressor
  2. .Single-phase or three-phase power supply
  3. A specific quantity of product
  4. Packaging film

Depending on the product type and weight, the following packaging films can be used:
PVC, CPP, OPP, BOPP, Metalized, Polyethylene, Cellophane, and others.

The machine body is made of painted iron with electrostatic coating, while the hopper and all material-contacting parts are made of stainless steel.

Various packaging forms include:
  • Pillow bag
  • Gusset (pouch) bag
  • Four-side seal
  • Five-side seal
  • Three-side seal
  • Sachet
  • Zipper pouch
  • Block-bottom bag (cassette type)
Standard packaging machines typically produce one type of package, but Kavosh Sanat Company manufactures a special machine capable of producing four packaging types—pillow, gusset, four-side seal, and five-side seal—by changing the forming tube and collar.
